Lime summary:
Where: New York
Night: Saturday
Type: Lounge
Drinks: Manhattan-esque prices ($10 for hennesey on the rocks, $13 for a screwdriver)
Dress code: None noticed
Music: Rap/Reggae/Pop (too buzzed to pay attention)
So we went to this spot for a birthday party, place was pretty cramped, it was almost impossible to move (it was packed like an Indian express shuttle), other than that there was a nice mix of people. (Except for one girl who had the nerve to ask me to chill when I politely asked her if she was standing by the bar for a drink or to take up real estate for nothing, to which I replied "Were you born a bitch, or did it manifest itself at puberty?").
They also have huge plasma TVs set up around the bar showing some playoff action, so it's probably a better place to chill on a gamenight rather than looking for a jumpoff.
Other than that the place was pretty nice, by midnight they brought out the cake for the birthday girl, it was a cute little set-up (shout out to Micah and Dorise). Eventually we proceeded upstairs which was way more spacious. There was the usual group of drunk girls trying to dance to reggae albeit they looked horrible and the usual group of drunk assholes who expressed desire to be thrown out of a window head first on impact, but what else is new. Drinks weren't watered down, only qualm was that they only serve hennesey on the first floor, court case is pending on that one.
Worth a return: If there is less of a crowd
Stay tuned for my post on Arlo and Esme (we ended up here right after Red Sky)
